There’s something special about a coffee that can carry you from sunrise to sunset—from your first warm mug of the morning to the clink of ice in an afternoon cold brew. El Salvador La Esperanza is that kind of coffee.

And yes, it’s the exact bean behind our signature in-store cold brew.

🌿 Where It’s Grown

La Esperanza hails from the Apaneca-Ilamatepec Mountains in western El Salvador, where it's shade grown at elevations of 4,000–5,000 feet. The farm, run by a family who has worked the land for generations, is known for both its sustainable practices and its beautifully clean flavor profile.

These beans are fully washed and sun-dried, which preserves their clarity and balance—perfect for the light city roast we give them right here at Front Porch Cafe.

☕ Tasting Notes

Roasted light to let the origin shine, this coffee offers:

  • Cocoa notes for warmth and body

  • A pop of lemon zest that keeps things lively

  • A clean, smooth finish that doesn’t linger too long

It’s bright without being sour, smooth without being flat—balanced, just like your best days.

❄️ Why It’s Cold Brew Royalty

We use El Salvador La Esperanza as the base for our cold brew because it holds up beautifully to long steeping. Even without heat, you’ll still taste the cocoa and citrus notes with a clean, smooth finish.

Want to try it yourself?

Cold Brew Tips:

  • Use a coarse grind

  • Steep in cold water for 12–18 hours

  • Strain and serve over ice

  • Optional: Add a splash of milk or a hint of citrus peel for a summer twist

🔥 Prefer It Hot?

We’ve got you. This bean is just as comfortable brewed hot. Pour-over or drip methods let its delicate acidity and light body shine through. Either way, it's a bright start to any day.

🛍️ Ready to Try It?

You can find El Salvador La Esperanza on our shelves or order it online for $13.99.
