First things, first!

July 4th shenanigans are upon us so pleeeeease be patient, be safe and always be kind.

Now, an apology to those of you who will not have access to a Front Porch Café because this coming week we celebrate National Apple Turnover Day and National Sugar Cookie Day! So come by one of our shops and treat yourself. Our turnovers are an apple filled, flaky pastry, subtle delight. Kinda like apple pie but with a way better crust! WHAT!!! Truth! Our sugar cookies with their fun rainbow sprinkle topping, will make any day special and are a perfect pick-me-up for all ages.

This week will also be the first of four Super Moons! This occurs on the 3rd of July. (Again, be safe!) A Super Moon is officially known as a perigean full moon. It is a full moon that occurs when the moon’s orbit brings it closest to Earth. In our area moonrise on the 2nd will be 8:08 p.m. and on the 3rd 9:09 p.m. Moonset will be 4:28 a.m. and 5:32 a.m. respectively. Remember tides are always greater during full and new moons. Both will be worth setting an alarm for and going to see. Especially the moonset as it will coincide with sunrise and probably be huge, orangey and glorious!

Have a Happy, Safe and Friendly Fourth!
