It's that time of year again, where people are looking to give back and help others in need. There are so many ways you can contribute this holiday season without spending a lot of money. Here are some ideas on how to get involved with your community.

Volunteer your time. Not all giving back has to be monetary in form. Your time is just as valuable! So many organizations are looking for people to help, especially this time of year.

Don't know where to start?

Check into your local food pantries and food kitchens. Check with local donation centers. An influx of holiday charity is sure to cause a need for extra help! How about ringing the bell for the Salvation Army? Are animals more your style? Check into your local animal shelter! Help to clean, walk dogs, or even try fostering an animal for the holidays!

If volunteering isn't your speed, try donating! Donating doesn't have to be in the form of money! Clean out your closets and donate old clothes and toys. A quick trip to the store or to your pantry is enough to donate goods to your local food pantry.

These are just a few suggestions on how to get started giving back. What are you doing this Holiday Season? Let us know in the comments!
