July 27th is National Refreshment Day!

Boy, can we refresh you and not in the “computer-I-hope-this-works” way, we actually have drinks called Refreshers! Delicious cold and... refreshing! In strawberry-acai or blood orange-coconut flavors. We also have lemonade which, on its own is awesome but when paired with a flavor like blueberry or strawberry is super awesome. Most of our menu drinks can be made iced and we also have classic iced coffee or our cold brew coffee. So come by and treat yourself to a fun Front Porch refreshment, not just on Refreshment Day but every day!

But wait, there’s more this week!

Set your alarms for the wee hours or stay up a bit later on the 29th and 30th and get a peek at the Delta Aquarius meteor shower. This meteor shower should be at its peak during those days. But the showers actually run from July 12th to August 23rd. So, take some time to stargaze during the next few weeks.

Then on the 31st we celebrate mutts!

The most lovable of all “breeds”. Let’s celebrate them by making a donation to your local animal shelter! While we are on the subject…summer is tough on pets. We can make the choice to do what we want to stay cool, but they need our help, and they need us to make wise decisions for them regarding their comfort. So, do that. Don’t bring them to the beach for the day. Don’t take them jogging like you “always” do when it’s 80 at 8a.m. Keep them cool and comfortable during the hot days of summer. Be their guardian and hero. Always.
