How to make good coffee at home.

We often hear our customers observing the difference between the coffee they brew at home and a cup of Front Porch coffee.

Well...there are four main factors in making a great cup of coffee.

1) Buy Front Porch Café coffee!

Our coffee is small batch, fresh roasted coffee

2) Use filtered water

We use a reverse osmosis filtering system for the water in our coffee brewers, espresso machines and ice machines.

3) Make sure you grind the coffee properly.

The kind of grind depends on your method of brewing. For example, a coarse grind, for a French press, or an espresso grind, for your home espresso machine or mocha pot. We are always happy to grind your coffee for you.

4) Measure both coffee and water.

At home you will have to experiment to get the correct proportions. Start with one of our great Front Porch coffee scoops and use a measuring cup for the water.

That’s all there is to it! Of course when you get your cup of coffee at the Front Porch Café there is love in every cup so don’t forget that at home too! Happy brewing!
