Remember….A gentle reminder about Memorial Day.

Yes, we are all looking forward to a long weekend.

Yes, we all want to have cookouts and have fun.

But we must remember that Memorial Day is the day to honor those who died while in service to our country.

It was originally called Decoration Day. Surviving family members would decorate the graves of their fallen loved ones.

To many it has become the beginning of “summer” and a long weekend of celebrating. Perhaps this coming Memorial Day we can bring back the original idea of the day. We can be grateful for the brave people who served their country and sacrificed their lives for us.

Be safe in your travels, be patient and think of others.
