Squirrels. A sideline from coffee… sorta.

The connection between squirrels and coffee is that most squirrels seem over caffeinated.

“Do I cross? Yes! NO!!! Wait! YES!!!!”

Jiminy Cricket, bless their hearts, it’s like they spent the morning drinking shots of espresso AND a pot of coffee. There is probably a very good explanation for squirrel behavior. There are probably umpteen studies by scientists and naturalists recording the activities of squirrels. You will find none of their facts here, just personal observations.

Maaaaybe the squirrels are on their way to get coffee. That is whytheir movements are so awkward and indecisive.We can relate. Often it’s hard enough to explain your coffee order before you have had your coffee or to explain or express anything for that matter, before the first cup. Maybe that is what historians mean when they refer to things occurring B.C., “Before Coffee”.

In any case, let’s keep an eye out for our grey brothers and sisters while we drive, now thinking more sympathetically towards them. We completely understand what it is like trying to get that first cup.
